Dr. Wendy Thorne, is proud to offer Lyric Hearing Aids to her patients in our Fairfax location.
How Lyric Works
Lyric is the first extended wear hearing device that is 100% invisible. It is comfortably placed in the ear canal by a hearing professional specially trained to offer Lyric, and once it is placed in your ear, it stays in 24 hours a day.
Lyric is sold on a subscription basis, meaning you will purchase a year's worth of Lyric devices at a time. This subscription will allow you to have the most advanced Lyric hearing technology currently available since you will be receiving new devices at each follow-up office visit.
Natural Sound Quality
Unlike many other hearing aids, Lyric is positioned completely inside the ear canal, so it uses your ears' natural anatomy (pinna) to funnel sound to your eardrum. This unique design and placement helps reduce background noise and feedback and provides exceptionally natural sound quality.
Is Lyric Right For Me?
If you're experiencing mild to moderately-severe hearing loss, Lyric hearing aids are designed for you. They are great for people with active lifestyles. You can wear them while playing sports, sleeping, wearing earphones, talking on the phone, and even while in the shower. Although they are fitted inside the ear canal, Lyric hearing aids do not require a medical procedure and can be fit in-office*.
Please call us today to make an appointment to see if Lyric is right for you. Your audiologist will determine if you are a candidate for Lyric or for other forms of hearing technology.
*Disclaimer: This treatment may not be suitable for all patients and conditions. if you, take a prescription blood thinner, are diabetic, have a compromised immune system, bleeding disorder, implantable medical device, or are under age 21, medical clearance is required.
