Comprehensive Hearing Test

Your Hearing Test

If you’re like most people, you have a lot of questions about your hearing test. This page is designed to help answer your questions and put you at ease about your journey to better hearing. If you still have questions, please feel free to call us.

For patients 5 to 18 years of age, we offer pediatric audiology services.

For existing patients who cannot make it to one of our locations, you can schedule a remote appointment with us to connect with your audiologist from the comfort of your own home. Remote appointments are perfect for quick questions, hearing aid maintenance, remote programming, and consulting with family members who cannot attend in-person appointments.

Your consultation has three main parts:

1. We Listen To You

We believe that the first step to improving your hearing is to listen to you.

You’ll tell us about your lifestyle, activities, the environments you live and work in, and your style of interaction with others.

Knowing your needs and expectations will help us recommend the perfect solution for you.

2. Hearing Evaluation

Next you will undergo a diagnostic hearing assessment to measure the degree of hearing impairment, if any. The evaluation is non-invasive and painless.

Hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and other hearing disorders can have a variety of causes, and accurate diagnosis and testing are at the heart of prescribing the most effective solutions.

We use the most advanced diagnostic and verification equipment to test and diagnose hearing impairments. The evaluation may include:

  • Visual Otoscopy
  • Tympanometry
  • Speech teting to include: Speech Reception Threshold, Speech Discrimination and QuickSIN
  • Otoacoustic Emissions
  • Tinnitus Evaluations

3. Recommended Solution

The hearing evaluation will tell us whether you have any hearing loss.

If you do, your audiologist will recommend the best solutions for you based on your degree and type of hearing loss, your lifestyle, and your budget.

We work with most major insurance plans and we can arrange financing to help you get the best solution for your needs.
