Your consultation has three main parts:
1. We Listen to You
We believe that the first step to improving your hearing is to listen to you. You’ll tell us about your lifestyle, activities, the environments you live and work in, and your style of interaction with others. Knowing your needs and expectations will help us recommend the perfect solution for you.
2. Hearing Evaluation
Next you will undergo a diagnostic hearing evaluation to measure the degree of hearing impairment, if any. The evaluation is non-invasive and painless.
Hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and other hearing disorders can have a variety of causes, and accurate diagnosis and testing are at the heart of prescribing the most effective solutions.
We use the most advanced diagnostic and verification equipment to test and diagnose hearing impairments. The evaluation may include:
- Visual Otoscopy
- Tympanometry
- Speech testing to include: Speech Reception Threshold, Speech Discrimination and QuickSIN
- Otoacoustic Emissions
- Tinnitus Evaluations
3. Recommend Solutions
The hearing evaluation will tell us whether you have any hearing loss. If you do, your audiologist will recommend the best solutions for you based on your degree and type of hearing loss, your lifestyle, and your budget. We work with most major insurance plans and we can arrange financing to help you get the best solution for your needs.
